What kind of yarn do
you use?
I make almost all my hats from Hobby Lobby brand yarn. I just love their yarn! It is soft and is really nice to work
with. I will use other brands for
certain patterns but not often. Some
patterns that are used call for different yarns and I will make it with the
preferred yarn. If you have colors you
would like, check out the HobbyLobby.com website and see what types and colors
are available.

What’s the best way to care for these hats?
First, wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. Some you could probably dry in the dryer but
not all. Hats with pompoms should only
be dried lying flat. I have yet to find
a way to completely secure the yarn in the PomPom type hats. The pompom will come apart if washed in the
washer and dried in the dryer.
I don’t put pompoms on hats for older babies and little
children. They can pull the yarn out and
put it in their mouth. We found this out
the hard way with our first son.
If I find a pattern
for a hat, is it possible to have me make it?
If you find another pattern on a website, you can contact me
from this blog and send me the link to the pattern and I can check it out. I should be able to create the hat. There maybe a different charge depending on
difficulty and how long it will take me to make it.
Do you take custom
orders?
Sure do, but you will have about a two or three week
turnaround for the hat. This allows
me to pick up any yarn that is needed.
